christmas cards

on sunday i decided to get the kids all dressed up to do our christmas pictures in front of our christmas tree. gavin did great, ryann not so much. she screamed through the entire shoot. i was able to get a few smiles out of her but they were few and far between! i picked a few of the good ones and put them into christmas cards, and they are in the mail already!!! i am so proud of myself, it is december 1st and my christmas cards are all mailed, and my christmas shopping is done! here are a few of the not so good ones!






i also decided on sunday that it would be a great idea to hang the outside christmas lights with gavin as my helper. he did a pretty good job helping. he really enjoyed plugging all of the lights into the wall to make sure that they worked. everything was going smoothly until i placed the hammer on top of the ladder and got down to go and help gavin with a string of lights. once we had untangled the lights i proceded to move my ladder. bad idea. the hammer was still on top and it fell off and hit me in the head. thank god we were almost done! it hurt like hell, and i wasn't about to do anymore! the lights are beautiful, it was worth the bump to see gavin and ryann's faces light up every night when we go outside to look at the pretty lights!
