more christmas crafts and baking

yesterday gen and skylar came over for our chrismtas gift exchange. gavin and skylar had so much fun playing together! they also both enjoyed their new gifts. ryann tried to play with them but she didn't quite fit in as she is the "little sister"







rachele also came over last night. we gave her, her presents and had a blast with her...here are a few pictures of the kids with her



we made cupcakes today for gavin's class party tomorrow. gavin decided he wanted green cupcakes so they are a little funny looking, but they are going to taste good! after the cupcakes were made gavin got to lick the beaters...it's his favorite part of baking!






today we finished making our ornaments. we had so much fun painting and putting glitter on them. ryann enjoyed painting also! you can tell by the paint on her face!!!

projects!

gavin and i have been doing lots of projects to prepare for christmas! we have had a lot of fun together. here are a few pictures of us making ornaments for our tree. they have yet to be painted, but we had a lot of fun rolling out the dough and using cookie cutters!







today, we decided to make a gingerbread house. it was quite challenging with a 3 year old...it doesn't help that i am a perfectionist. our house is far from perfect but i let go of my need for perfect for perfectly cute and made by gavin! we had a great time making it together and trying out all of the candy!

and finally, santa came to gavin's school today. it was an after school event. he talked with the kids, took pictures and then handed out the biggest candy canes i have ever seen! the kids loved it!!!
